# Statement to Sheet > Turns bank statements, credit-card statements, receipts and bills into one reconciled transaction table > (date, description, amount, balance, category), exportable as CSV, Excel, OFX, QIF, JSON or Markdown. > https://statement-to-sheet.skillsafe.ai/ ## What it does - Statement PDFs with a text layer (most downloaded bank statements) are parsed entirely in the browser, free, with no sign-in and no upload. Debit, credit and balance columns are told apart by their position on the page. - Scanned pages and photos of receipts or bills are read by an AI model (gpt-terra). Photos are shrunk in the browser, uploaded only for the read, and deleted when it finishes. Runs are paid per use with SkillSafe credits - no API key needed. The hold shown before a run is the most it can cost. - Every document is reconciled in the browser: opening balance + money in - money out against the printed closing balance, row totals against the printed totals, the running balance row by row, dates against the statement period, possible duplicates, and receipt items against subtotal, tax and total. Mismatches are flagged by row; numbers are never adjusted to make them agree. - Categories (Income, Housing, Groceries, Eating out, Transport, Subscriptions, ...) are assigned from the description and can be edited; the Excel export carries live SUMIF category totals. - Amount sign convention: money in is positive, money out is negative (a card purchase is negative). - The CSV opens directly in Budget Flow (https://budget-flow.skillsafe.ai/) for a budget Sankey. ## API - Developer guide: https://statement-to-sheet.skillsafe.ai/api.html - Run input: {"task":"extract","source":"images"|"text","file_names":"...","text":"... (source text)", "hints":"{json}","facts":"{json}","$files":["file ids"]} - Output: one JSON object {"task":"extract","documents":[{doc_type, account, period, totals, transactions[], receipt, unreadable, notes}],"notes":""} ## Privacy Documents are never stored. Text PDFs never leave the page. Only the extracted table is kept in the user's own history, and only when they leave "keep this table" switched on. At most the last four digits of an account number are kept. Not financial or tax advice.
